Digitally certified translation with QES

Sometimes things need to be done quickly – even with certified translations. From now on, you can also order digitally certified translations from us, saving you the hassle of postal delivery.

What is a digitally certified translation?

Digitally certified translations with QES, the qualified electronic signature, are fully legally valid in accordance with the EU eIDAS Regulation. They are considered a digital original document – unlike a scan. However, the translation is only valid in digital form and loses its validity as soon as it is printed out.

Note: Please check with the relevant authority whether a digitally certified translation is accepted.

With QES, you receive digitally certified translations and save the time of having them sent by post.

QES is just as legally binding and forgery-proof as a normal handwritten signature.

Digitally certified translations do not need to be printed out and sent by post. This protects nature and the climate.

Order now!

You can order a digitally certified translation at lingoking by choosing the checkbox ‘Qualified electronic signature (QES)’ under additional options.

We currently offer QES for the following languages: English, Spanish, French, Arabic, Turkish. More languages to follow!

Information on certified translations

A certified translation applies to official documents such as birth certificates or driving licenses. Once certified by a sworn translator, the translation itself also becomes an official document. Sworn translators confirm the accuracy and completeness of the translation by signing, stamping and adding their certification statement to the final document.

At lingoking, we ensure that all translations are carried out by sworn translators who adhere to the European quality standards of DIN EN ISO 17100.

Official authorities require certified translations to ensure that the translated document is an accurate and complete representation of the original.

Certified translations of documents can be particularly relevant for cross-border activities, such as immigrating to Germany.

A certified translation is a translated document with a signed attestation clause from the translator or translation agency confirming the accuracy and completeness of the translation, bearing an official stamp or seal. It serves as a legal or official record, attesting to the authenticity of the translation for various official or administrative purposes.

Certified translations may only be created by translators sworn in at court for their working language(s).

The various federal states in Germany have different requirements in this regard. It is therefore best to have documents prepared by sworn translators in Germany. This guarantees that certified translations of the documents will be recognised.
