2010

Founding year

Our founders set out to create a platform that helps people overcome language barriers – both in everyday life and in emergency situations. At the time, lingoking’s portfolio consisted of a single language service that was unique in Germany until then: telephone interpreting.

2010 & 2013

IT Innovation Award

This innovative, simple and – compared to in-person interpreting – cost-effective service earned our start-up the “IT Innovation Award” two years in a row.

2016

ADAC

Customers of the German automobile club ADAC could now order driver’s licence translations from anywhere in Germany via the ADAC online shop. Orders can be transmitted directly to the lingoking portal for translation.

2017

B2B scaling with platform access

Our first institutional B2B partners gained access to the lingoking platform – marking an important step towards automation and digital process integration for companies, official authorities, and relocation agencies.

2020

Magic Mountain

Our new “Magic Mountain” platform helps us intelligently match translation jobs with the right translators. In addition to reducing manual effort, it improves our ability to manage large-scale projects.

Expanding our network of sworn translators

We grew our global network of sworn translators with a focus on professional recognition, migration, and immigration.

ISO certification & GDPR compliance

In response to growing B2B demands, we implemented standardised, GDPR-compliant processes and earned an ISO certification for our translation services.

Federal Employment Agency

From 2021 to 2025, we supported the German Federal Employment Agency with document translations – particularly certified translations for job seekers throughout Germany.

Specialising in the age of AI

As AI technologies evolved even further, we doubled down on certified translations, where human involvement remains crucial.

API integration for B2B partners

We launched a technical API interface to enable seamless integration of our translation services into third-party systems such as HR platforms and government portals.

Sharpening our focus

Since summer 2024, we have been focusing on certified translations especially for international care professionals.

Effiency gains through AI

Since spring 2025, we have been using AI to increase the efficiency of our processes. It enables us to handle process steps such as the correct preselection of translation templates more quickly and efficiently.
